Speaking

Facilitator & Speaker

My background spans adult learning, curriculum design, university teaching, training, and facilitation, as well as complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives that have required thoughtful communication across communities, cultures, and perspectives. I've led workshops, retreats, and discussion groups, and I bring that experience to conversations designed to make complex ideas accessible, meaningful, and relevant to the people in the room.

About June’s speaking work

I speak about the experiences that shape us but can be difficult to name—from family estrangement and complicated grief to belonging, identity, and the relationships that continue to shape who we are becoming. I bring research into conversation with lived experience, creating space for complexity, curiosity, and a more honest understanding of what we carry and what might be possible from here.

Formats

Keynotes, workshops, panels, podcast interviews, and facilitated conversations. I can work with a lecture hall or a room of twelve. The through-line is the same: language that is rigorous and kind.

Who It’s For

Clinicians, educators, faith communities, student groups, and organizations looking for more thoughtful, nuanced conversations about grief, estrangement, complicated family relationships, and belonging.

Key speaking topics

Family Estrangement & Ambiguous Loss

Understanding the complicated grief of relationships that are changed, distant, or no longer part of our lives in the ways they once were—or we hoped they might be.

Belonging Without Self-Abandonment

Exploring how we can remain connected to the people and relationships that matter to us without losing our own voice, needs, or sense of self in the process.

Finding Yourself When Family Relationships Change

Exploring how family rupture and changing relationships can shape identity, belonging, and the work of becoming more fully yourself during emerging adulthood.
